The aim of the journal is to disseminate the results of relevant fundamental and applied research in the field of international law, to promote the development of legal science, as well as to advance legal practice and the integration of the Ukrainian academic community into the global scholarly space.

The main objectives of the journal are:

– to publish the results of contemporary scientific research in the theory and practice of international law, including public international law, private international law, and interdisciplinary legal studies;
– to ensure scholarly communication among Ukrainian and foreign researchers, practitioners, academics, and higher education students;
– to promote the development of modern international legal science and the formation of new theoretical and methodological approaches;
– to analyze and generalize international legal practice and the application of legal norms in both global and national contexts;
– to support early-career researchers, doctoral candidates, and students in publishing the results of their research;
– to ensure adherence to the principles of academic integrity, peer review, and high-quality scholarly publishing;
– to foster international cooperation and promote scientific achievements in the field of international law.

Open Access Policy

The journal adheres to an Open Access policy. All articles are published permanently and free of charge immediately upon the release of an issue. Full-text real-time access to the journal’s scientific articles is available on the official journal website in the Archives section.

The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution International (CC-BY 4.0). This license permits any user to:

– read, download, copy, distribute, and print articles;

– cite or reference the full text of the articles;

– use the materials for their own research, educational, or commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original work.

Copyright

Authors retain full copyright of their articles and are entitled to deposit the final published version or the accepted manuscript in any institutional or subject repository without restrictions.

This is in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. The journal’s licensing policy is compatible with the majority of open access and self-archiving policies.

Archiving Policy

The journal ensures reliable and long-term preservation of all published materials in accordance with international standards for digital archiving.

To ensure the preservation of scholarly content:

-  all journal issues are archived in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine;

-  articles are deposited in institutional repositories of the universities with which the authors are affiliated;

-  the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform is used, supporting open access and meeting modern digital archiving requirements.

Each published article:

-  remains permanently accessible on the journal’s website without time restrictions;

-  is assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier), ensuring a stable and long-term reference link
